Summary of article "Long-term use of mobile phones may be linked to cancer"

This article discusses the effects of mobile phones on peoples health. It reveals that although it is not definite it appears that there is an increased risk of brain tumors due to the use of mobile phones for a period of 10years or more. It is suggested that a public warning is released so that people understand the true risks involved in using mobile phones for a long period of time. It appears that the health department in the UK only discourage use by children whereas other countries have started to strengthen warnings.
There is an inquiry investigating if exposure to mobile phones is linked to three certain types of brain tumors and a tumor of the salivary gland. Although it is recognised that mobile phones are an important tool, reduced use is highly recommended. Many studies have been carried out which reveal that mobile phones do cause a rise in brain tumors. However a spokesman for Mobile Operators said that more than 30 scientific reviews found no adverse health effects.
