A PC or a laptop is vital when doing an applied psychology course.
Firstly all assignments must be typed and often they must be emailed to the lecturer or submitted via blackboard.
A laptop or PC would be suitable although laptops may be more useful for students as they are easy to transport and very versatile.
It is important to ensure that your PC or laptop has a large memory capacity and you should also buy some other storage devices to backup your files.
All notes are available to students outside of college on the iadt website via blackboard. Your PC must support blackboard and be compatible with the programme.
You will also need a web browser for research. Programmes such as Microsoft Office Word and Powerpoint will be essential throughout the course. They will be the most useful programmes to you during this time. Adobe, photoshop and illustrator will also be very useful for Multimedia Design.
All these factors need to be considered carefully before purchasing a PC or laptop.
